Welcome to Pack 4 Cub Scouts!

Welcome to Pack 4!

Pack 4 Rocks!

When you’re a kid, fun comes first!

Final exams, driver’s ed and summer jobs will arrive soon enough. Cub Scouts lets kids have fun while teaching them skills that will help them later on. From the thrill of shooting an arrow to learning how to transform a block of wood into a race car, Cub Scouts is one thrill after another. With a program expertly tailored to match each age in a young child's life, Cub Scouts learn that even when fun isn’t easy, it’s always an adventure. In Scouting, everything has a purpose. And it shows kids that doing their best is the most fun of all. What makes Cub Scouts truly unique, though, is the opportunity it gives the entire family to be involved in each child’s development. From volunteering with the Pack to leading activities at home, parents can take full advantage of the extra time they’ll have participating in their Cub Scout's life.

Some Kids Avoid Obstacles . . . SCOUTS Overcome Them!

Scouting is a year-round program uniquely designed to meet the needs of girls and boys and their families. The program offers fun and challenging activities that promote character development and physical fitness. Family involvement is an essential part of the program, and parents are encouraged to play an active role in making the most of the short time they have to impact the lives of their children. Cub Scouting is designed to be experienced outdoors. Hiking, camping and biking are just some of a Cub Scout’s outdoor experiences (please take a look at the Pack 4 Activities and Events PDF attached for examples of what our Cub Scouts experience throughout the year).

Cub Scouts progress from rank to rank, learning new skills as they go. Each of the ranks and other special awards in Cub Scouting have their own requirements. As Cub Scouts get older and advance, the requirements become more challenging to match newfound skills and abilities. Each Cub Scout progresses at their own pace as they meets each challenge. Rank advancement is one method used by Scout leaders to help girls and boys fulfill the aims of Scouting: character development, citizenship training, and mental and physical fitness (please take a look at the What is Cub Scouting PDF attached for more details).

In Pack 4, the Cub Scouting program at St. Peter’s, we have dedicated leaders and volunteers who welcome the task of teaching the Cub Scouts both fun and valuable lessons that will help them progress in the program and in life. We take great pride in providing a quality, fun and exciting program year-round (please see the attached PDF for a listing of our annual Pack events). Our leadership team is fully trained - not only in their specific position within the team/Pack, but also in the most current Youth Protection - to ensure that each Scout and their family gets the best experience possible!

In an effort to include everyone who would like to experience the Adventures of Cub Scouting, Pack 4 is a “Family Pack”. This gives both boys and girls who will be going into Kindergarten through 5th grade in the fall the opportunity to join our Pack!
